Crisa has its roots in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It was founded in 1936 as part of Vidriera Monterrey, which is now Vitro.

In 1938, Crisa opened its doors with its first manufacturing location- well-known as Location "C". In 1956, Crisa acquired Cristales Mexicanos (Location "M") and in 1987 Location "I" was built which, besides being a warehouse and packaging center, is also the main hub of distribution. Additionally, products are decorated there and glassware and dinnerware are assembled.
